The GSCP encourages users to share the Reference tool among their contacts (this is an open source document, like all GSCP Reference tools), as appropriate. The GSCP is keen to receive feedback on the structure and content of the tool and have set up an online feedback process to gather comments in order to continuously improve the tool. 

 PARIS, 18th September 2013 – The Global Social Compliance Programme (GSCP), a business-driven programme for the continuous improvement of working and environmental conditions in global supply chains and that is facilitated by The Consumer Goods Forum, today announced the publication of the GSCP Reference tool on Social & Labour Management Systems for Suppliers
 
This Reference tool provides a shared approach for defining and assessing suppliers’ management systems, to help suppliers meet social compliance requirements, drive value from the monitoring process and engage in continuous improvement. This tool was developed with the support of GSCP member companies, their suppliers and multiple stakeholders, along with both GSCP Boards. 
 
 
Lastly, to complement this robust framework, the GSCP is now also working on developing practical handbooks, providing easy-to-use guidance and materials for suppliers based on their size, maturity and sector. This work is now underway in collaboration with GSCP members, key international organisations and other stakeholders, and more information on this will be forthcoming.
