Sustainability Pillar Governance - The Consumer Goods Forum

Members of our Board of Directors take responsibility to sponsor a Pillar and Health & Wellness is currently co-sponsored at the Board level by the CEO of Ahold Delhaize and the CEO of Nestlé. As Board sponsors they actively drive and support the work of the Health & Wellness Steering Committee and present the team's progress to their peers during The Forum’s Board of Directors meetings.

The Health & Wellness Steering Committee provides the strategic direction and oversees the daily management of the Pillar’s activities. The Steering Committee is currently co-chaired by Isabelle Grosmaitre, Danone  and Alex Hurd, Walmart.

The Steering Committee has the mission of scoping and categorising existing momentum on health and wellness. It also aims to develop collaborative industry actions between retailers and manufacturers, as well as private partnerships, where relevant, to better promote health and wellness to consumers and shoppers.

To drive forward their agenda, the Steering Committee has created a number of Taskforces who report directly to the Committee. Current taskforces include those on stakeholder engagement, measurement and reporting, personal care, communications and positive action.
