Health & Wellness Pillar Governance - The Consumer Goods Forum

External Scientific Advisory Council (ESAC)

The External Scientific Advisory Council has been established to provide guidance and further expertise to the Health & Wellness Steering Committee and their decision making process. The Council will be responsible for helping to align the work of our Health & Wellness Pillar and support its mission of empowering consumers worldwide to adopt healthier lifestyles through a culture of prevention and multi-stakeholder collaborations.

Members are selected for their expertise, knowledge and specific interest in matters relating to health and wellness. Council members are drawn from academic institutions as well as government and non-government institutions. Council members are appointed by the Health & Wellness Steering Committee for a period of three years, while the Council will appoint their own chairperson for a period of two years.

The Council members will be called upon, within their respective fields of expertise, to provide periodic advice and guidance on the strategic direction of the Pillar.
