Objectives of the Operational Excellence Pillar
The objective is to enhance Operational Excellence and thus
help our trading partners and the consumer goods industry to
better serve our customers and shoppers. In meeting this
objective, the collaborative business practice of New Ways of
Working Together should be drawn upon particularly.
We can achieve these ambitions by:
- Focusing and integrating the various legacy committees
and work groups on industry-wide relevant topics, which
should help us to increase the scale of our work and
- Producing more benefits for our consumers through
developing and defining best practices for collaborative
business processes between manufacturers, retailers and
other partners in the extended value chain. This will
involve our adoption and implementation of best practices,
GS1 standards and industry utilities.
- Continuing the Forum's healthy tradition of networking
and knowledge sharing on these topics.
Operational Excellence Core Team - New Ways of
The Operational Excellence Core Team, otherwise
known as the Integration Platform and Steering Group, provides
impressive leadership and ownership of all the work. A further
objective is to drive and implement change in the way our industry
collaborates, both in bi-lateral trading relationships and on
non-competitive industry issues, to improve our service to our
consumers and shoppers.
This team is comprised of Chief Customer or Chief Commercial
Officers, who are engaged and supported by their CGF board
