# The Consumer Goods Forum

> The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) is a global, parity-based industry network driven by its members to encourage the global adoption of practices and standards that serves the consumer goods industry worldwide. Its mission: "Better Lives Through Better Business."

CGF unites approximately 380 member companies — retailers, manufacturers and service providers — across 70 countries, including Nestlé, Walmart, Tesco, Coca-Cola and Unilever.

## Coalitions & Industry Solutions

CGF operates through six Coalitions of Action focused on systemic industry challenges:

- **Climate Transition** — reducing carbon emissions across the value chain
- **Food Waste** — halving food waste by 2025
- **Forest Positive** — eliminating deforestation from supply chains
- **Healthier Lives** — improving consumer health and wellness
- **Human Rights** — advancing social sustainability and forced labour elimination
- **Plastic Waste** — reducing plastic packaging and waste

Three Industry Solutions platforms:
- **GFSI** (Global Food Safety Initiative) — food safety standards and benchmarking
- **SSCI** (Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative) — supply chain sustainability assurance
- **DDVC** (Data-Driven Value Chain) — data standards and interoperability
