The Coalition is hosting a CEO Expert Series, entitled “Accelerating Progress: Consumer Goods Industry Pathways to Net Zero”, allowing members to come together with c-suite industry experts to share knowledge, and engage in insightful dialogue on how we as an industry can accelerate progress to reach Net Zero.
The Coalition has agreed on six key dimensions to define common supplier sustainability targets:
We are now working on defining the potentials targets per dimension. This will help set clear expectations for suppliers as a sector and accelerate supplier decarbonisation.
The Coalition is hosting a series of Commodity Masterclasses – where members will share decarbonisation learnings and case studies for most critical commodities across CPG and retailer value chain.
The Coalition is working to negotiate green power contracts at a unit cost which is more competitive than our members could secure individually. We are investigating new locations to explore green power programmes where green power is complex.
The Coalition is working to share recommendations on carbon metrics, in order to simplify data-sharing across the value chain and avoid having a resource intense process for everyone. This is the newest working group, and we are actively seeking more retail engagement.
