At The Consumer Goods Forum (The CGF), we reflect international diversity and are steadfast in our mission to cultivate a collaborative environment that promotes equality and embraces inclusivity for everyone. Our core principle is to acknowledge and value diversity.
In a landmark decision in December 2020, CGF members unanimously endorsed an initiative to bolster Diversity & Inclusion. This initiative introduced strategic actions; including recruiting more female CEOs to our Board; enhancing leadership diversity within the CGF’s Coalitions of Action; establishing concrete diversity goals for CGF events and programmes; and promoting active participation through delegate representation at Board meetings in the absence of CEOs.
These actions show we believe diversity strengthens our organisation and leads to positive change in the consumer goods industry, making sure everyone is heard and valued.
The CGF recognises and celebrates the diversity of our membership and employees, which includes consumer goods retailers and manufacturers from various backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We are committed to promoting a culture that appreciates and leverages this diversity to drive innovation, collaboration, and positive change within the industry. Our coalitions, initiatives, and partnerships are designed to break down barriers and create a level playing field, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive. We are dedicated to promoting equity by ensuring fair and equal opportunities, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.
Collaboration is at the heart of our mission. We actively encourage and support collaboration among our members to collectively work towards a positive impact on the consumer goods industry and the global community. We believe that inclusive collaboration, where every voice is valued, leads to more effective and sustainable solutions.
We acknowledge that fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion is an ongoing journey. We are committed to continuous learning, listening, and evolving our practices to ensure our organisation remains an inclusive and welcoming space for all. We actively seek feedback and insights from our diverse membership to inform our policies and initiatives.
By embracing diversity, promoting equity, and fostering inclusion, we believe we can collectively contribute to a consumer goods industry that is successful and socially responsible. We are dedicated to championing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the consumer goods industry and we continuously and explicitly encourage all our members to participate in and support these principles and join us on this journey to create a more equitable and sustainable future.
