We are pleased to announce that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) GreenChill Program hosted The Consumer Goods Forum in a webinar focused on sustainable refrigeration titled Efforts to Reduce Refrigerant Emissions through the Consumer Goods Forum. The webinar took place on 28th February at 2:00pm EST. EPA’s GreenChill Program is a partnership with food retail companies to reduce refrigerant emissions, to reduce installed amounts of refrigerant, and to promote advanced refrigeration systems.

This webinar presents yet another great opportunity to engage in multi-stakeholder cooperation and share best practice, both essential components in tackling climate change and reducing the increase of global temperatures. The CGF Environmental Sustainability Director, Ignacio Gavilan, will be sharing key insights in sustainable refrigeration, including the CGF Refrigeration Resolution and its implementation, showcased in the very successful CGF Refrigeration Case Studies Booklet. The booklet includes real life examples from CGF members on how they are taking concrete steps to move towards more sustainable refrigeration systems, with nearly 8,000 downloads – it’s definitely worth the read!

Sainsburys UK and Ahold Delhaize also presented during this webinar, deep diving into the specific challenges they have faced as companies and how they overcame them. Additionally, they also emphasised the strong business case for sustainable refrigeration systems and why all companies should strive towards this goal.
