To make interconnectivity and the easy exchange of data possible, we need to simplify the identification of every individual company that plays a role in the supply chain. This can be done by using a clear, unique electronic passport connected to every individual facility that is an actor in a supply chain.
This project focuses on increasing industry efficiency by improving the accuracy and completeness of product data that are used throughout the value chain, as well as building consumers’ trust by giving them access to reliable data on attributes that they care about. It consists of three main sub-projects: Data Leapfrog, Best Practice Sharing and Digital Consumer Transparency Solutions.
The aim of the End-to-End Value Chain Learning Series is to deliver thought provoking material to the wider CGF membership on “trending topics”. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of our members, we have already produced a number of educational resources on key topics like blockchain and modularisation.
Dedicated to helping improve data accuracy, this project focuses on providing consumers with easy access to trustworthy information on the products they buy and use. Success can be achieved through the global roll out a standardised platform that gives consumers the information they want, when they want it.
As well as a number of ongoing projects, our E2E Value Chain work has already delivered in a number of other areas. While these projects are no longer supported by active working groups, the excellent content they produced is still available. This includes resources from the GUSI and Global Packaging Project and Collaborative Logistics.
