On October 24th, Ignacio Gavlian, Director of Environmental Sustainability at The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) took part in a panel discussion at ATMOsphere Ibérica: Business Case for Natural Refrigerants in Madrid, a conference that brings together industry decision makers and governments to change the future of natural refrigerants in Spain, Portugal, Latin America and around the world.

During the conference, Ignacio was interviewed by R744 about the CGF’s efforts to shift the consumer goods industry towards natural refrigerants. He spoke about the need to move the needle in the right direction and praised Shecco for their efforts to create awareness on an issue that is extremely relevant for our industry and our planet. In 2010, the CGF’s members made a commitment to tackle the growing impact of refrigeration systems and in a move to sustain momentum, the CGF’s Board announced a second Refrigeration Resolution in October 2016 to continue the phase out of HFCs and call for the inclusion of HFCs in the Montreal Protocol. This proposed amendment was included in 2016: a huge step towards the global phase-out of harmful HFCs.
