This case study highlights how Carrefour added 137 new hydrogen fuel cell forklifts to an existing fleet of 80 at its Vendin-le-Vieil distribution centre in France. The new forklifts can be refuelled in three to four minutes and produce only water vapour as an emission, which make the hydrogen forklifts more convenient than battery ones that take longer to recharge or swap, or gas powered forklikfts that produce CO₂ emissions..
