Carrefour Joins the Climate Transition Coalition of Action

We are pleased to welcome Carrefour as the newest member of the Climate Transition Coalition of Action, our joint effort to drive climate progress across the consumer goods sector.

The coalition unites 31 manufacturers, retailers, and service providers to tackle climate challenges through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and coordinated action. Together, members strive to reduce emissions and drive sustainable innovation throughout the value chain.

Carrefour’s membership highlights its dedication to cutting greenhouse gases, decarbonising supply chains, and partnering with industry leaders. As a global retail giant, Carrefour’s involvement will enhance efforts to create a more sustainable food and consumer goods sector.

Bertrand Swiderski, Chief Sustainability Officer at Carrefour, said:

“We are proud to join the Climate Transition Coalition, uniting with a collective force that shares our interests, challenges, and priorities. By pooling our knowledge, strengths, and resources, we can aim higher and decarbonize our value chain for our clients. I hope to see the emergence of a shared platform that tracks avoided carbon emissions across the food industry.”

By supporting members in defining emissions goals and implementing effective strategies, the coalition drives measurable progress. We welcome Carrefour’s experience and international reach that will strengthen this work and and look forward to advancing our shared goals together.
