CGF Managing Director to Speak About Global Food Systems Challenges at Anuga 2023
Food waste is a global issue with far-reaching ecological and social ramifications. Each year, millions of tons of food are discarded worldwide, despite millions of people enduring hunger. Collaboration among all industry stakeholders, spanning from production and processing to trade and consumers, is imperative to address this issue.
Held in Cologne, Germany, on the 6th October 2023, the ANUGA Executive Summit 2023, known as the world’s leading trade fair for food and beverages, will aim to spearhead the dialogue on food waste, by providing with an international forum format and engage in discussions about sustainable solutions.
We are delighted to share that Wai-Chan Chan, Managing Director of The Consumer Goods Forum, has been invited to take the stage to delve into the strategies and approaches taken by producers and traders of food and beverages in the different world regions are pursuing, in order to react to climate change and its resulting loss of biodiversity. These challenges will be discussed in a panel titled “Global challenges and approaches: Food systems in change” also including Tim Schwertner, Chief Commercial Officer, Bauer Gruppe and Matthias Wunderlin, Chief Transformation Officer, Migros and moderated by David Bosshart, Futurist, Retail & Consumer Analyst.
