CGF Plastic Waste Director Cedric Dever Speaks on Sustainability and Innovation at the Retail Sustainability Conference in Canada

Cedric Dever, Director of the Plastic Waste Coalition of Action at The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF), recently participated in a dynamic panel discussion at the Retail Sustainability Conference in Canada on October 16th. Joined by Alain Brandon from Loblaw Companies Ltd, Katie Decker from Kenvue Canada, and Jeff Bezzo from SC Johnson, Cedric discussed how the CGF members drive sustainability in the consumer goods sector through collaboration and innovative approaches.

In a session sponsored by Unilever, the panelists discussed key initiatives of the CGF such as the Golden Design Rules, a set of voluntary commitments to help companies make design choices that will improve recycling systems and reduce plastic waste, the CGF Extended Producer Responsibility Guidelines and the Reuse pilot recently launched in Ottawa. 

This session underscored CGF’s commitment to supporting brands as they adopt sustainable practices that drive positive change in the industry.
