On 19th November, The Consumer Goods Forum’s (CGF) Climate Transition Coalition officially launched its new spanish-language “Guía de Agricultura y Ganadería Regenerativa” (Regenerative Agriculture and Livestock Guide) in Mexico City, marking a key step in driving sustainable agricultural practices across Latin America. The event brought together nearly 60 participants, including member companies, suppliers, civil society organisations, and representatives from the Mexican government.

Launching the Guide and Sharing Best Practices

The guide, developed by the Climate Transition working group in Latin America and based on the Coalition’s COA playbook, entirely in spanish, offers practical resources, knowledge, and tools to promote regenerative agriculture and livestock practices. It highlights best practices from member companies and regional stakeholders, providing actionable insights to restore soils, ecosystems, and communities.

The launch event also featured a panel discussion, moderated by CONAFOR (Mexico’s National Forestry Commission), where partners and companies shared insights and highlighted projects actively promoting regenerative agriculture. Key contributions came from WWF México, which provided environmental expertise, and representatives from leading companies including Grupo Bimbo, Danone, Pepsico, Walmart, and Mondelēz International.
