- Members of The Consumer Goods Forum’s Healthier Lives Coalition, Carrefour and four French manufacturers are sharing recipes to encourage customers to use seasonal, more sustainable ingredients in cooking.
- Developed with the Carrefour Engaged Consumer Club, these recipes will be easy and accessible to consumers, enabling them to make more sustainable choices.
Paris, 17 October 2025 During the event “Cook our delicious seasonal treats”, Carrefour and four manufacturers (Danone, Fleury Michon, Flora Food Group, and Savencia) have joined the Carrefour Engaged Consumers Club to encourage customers to eat seasonal produce and encourage more sustainable eating habits.
Recipes were created in partnership with the Carrefour Engaged Consumers Club, a group of French citizens who actively promote responsible consumption. This club, founded in 2019, brings together men and women, some of whom are not necessarily Carrefour customers, but who all share the desire to collaborate in evolving the brand. Faced with everyday realities, these members aim to play an active role in driving lasting change.
To bring the recipes to life, shoppers at the Carrefour supermarket in Les Ulis will be able to sample and discover seasonal dishes during a promotional event in October. This on-site experience provides a tangible way for people to experience the new recipes and connect with the initiative.
Members of The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF)’s Healthier Lives France Coalition, co-chaired by Carrefour and Danone, are committed to empowering people to live healthier lives, creating shared value for businesses and communities. It aims to help people make healthier decisions every day in every communities around the world. It is about making it easier for people to take care of themselves and their families.
Bertrand Swiderski, Chief Sustainability Officer at Carrefour, said, “Our clients are more than buyers! Through the Carrefour Engaged Consumers Club, we receive a powerful mandate that transcends market trends, compelling us to drive transformational change across our entire value chain. We are not simply adapting, we are actively building with the Club and our suppliers the sustainable consumption models of tomorrow.”
Sharon Bligh, Health and Sustainability Director at The Consumer Goods Forum, said, “It’s the first time we’ve worked directly with consumers to co-design recipes that everyone can enjoy — simple, seasonal, and accessible. It shows how collaboration between retailers, manufacturers, and citizens can make healthier, more sustainable eating part of everyday life.”
