The Land Institute

The Land Institute is a non-profit working to develop alternatives to traditional agricultural practices, shifting away from techniques that lead to soil erosion and degradation. The organisation focusses on identifying and developing perennial crops (crops that do not require reseeding or replanting) so that farmland doesn’t’ need to be annually ploughed, thus leaving soil structure and nutrients intact.
