The Towards Net Zero Coalition of Action Welcomes Eight New Members

The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) is pleased to announce that eight new companies have joined the Climate Transition Coalition.  AS Watson, Beiersdorf, Ferrero, Flora Food Group, Loblaw Companies Limited, McCain Foods, Tesco and Wumart have committed to collaborating with other global industry leaders to drive progress toward a carbon-neutral future. Their membership marks an exciting step forward in the Coalition’s mission to accelerate decarbonisation and work towards net zero by 2050.

The Climate Transition Coalition, co-chaired by Ahold Delhaize, PepsiCo and Unilever, brings together leading consumer goods companies dedicated to tackling the climate crisis by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning to low-carbon business models. With this new wave of members, the Coalition continues to grow its impact by uniting companies from diverse sectors and geographies around a shared goal of decarbonisation.

Commitment to Climate Action

The Coalition’s work is aligned with the CGF’s Towards Net Zero agenda, which provides a roadmap for companies to address emissions across their entire value chains. By sharing knowledge, resources, and best practices, members collaborate to accelerate progress in areas such as supply chain engagement, decarbonisation solutions, and data and accounting. Recent initiatives like the Commodity Captain Masterclasses and the new Supplier Sustainability Targets demonstrate the Coalition’s commitment to equipping members with the tools and strategies needed to meet their climate goals effectively.

This latest expansion reaffirms the Coalition’s commitment to leading the charge toward a sustainable and resilient future. The eight new members bring with them vast expertise and a shared vision to not only meet net zero goals but also inspire broader industry change.

Collaboration for Impact

Sharon Bligh, Director of Health and Sustainability at The Consumer Goods Forum, said:

“We are thrilled to welcome these companies into the Climate Transition Coalition. Their participation signals a strong commitment to addressing the climate crisis and driving the necessary changes within their businesses and beyond. The Coalition continues to grow and by joining forces, we can amplify our efforts to tackle emissions and create a more sustainable future for all.”
