The Global Summit, Tokyo 2013

The Global Summit

The Global Summit is exclusively reserved for members of The Consumer Goods Forum. It is the global event for modern retailers, manufacturers and their suppliers; it is the essential destination for successful business leaders in our sector; it is where CEOs talk to CEOs with additional input from experts and specialists; it is the forum to voice the key issues and challenges facing our industry now and in the future; it is the place where the global agenda for the consumer goods sector is set; it is where the responses to previously set challenges are shared; and it is the event you must attend if your future is in this vital and global industry.

In short, The Global Summit brings you an unparalleled opportunity to network with CEOs from some of the world's most successful companies, and gain key insights into the challenges faced by retailers, manufacturers and their service providers in the consumer goods industry. The 2015 edition took place in New York from 24th-26th June and attracted over 1,000 delegates.

The 2016 edition took place in Cape Town, South Africa, from 15th-17th June and attracted over 800 delegates.

The 2017 edition will be held in Berlin, Germany, from 20th to 23rd June.

 

The Global Food Safety Conference

The Global Food Safety Conference is a unique annual event that brings together over 1,000 leading food safety specialists from over 50 countries to advance food safety globally. It provides the opportunity to meet and network with industry peers, share knowledge in plenary and break-out sessions, benefit from thought-provoking presentations from internationally reputed industry experts and hear innovative ideas to implement in the workplace.

Over the three days of plenary and breakout sessions, delegates are exposed to new ideas and perspectives on managing food safety shared by great speakers and experienced food safety professionals. Sessions are designed to inform you about the latest developments in the industry and to challenge your thinking in this ever changing world. Networking breaks, exhibitions and social events provide even further opportunities to connect, conduct business and exchange valuable up-to-date information with your peers in a professional environment.

The record-breaking 2017 edition brought together nearly 1,200 food safety and quality experts from 54 countries, gathered in Houston - Texas, USA, from 27th Feb - 2nd Mar 2017. The 2018 Global Food Safety Conference will mark its return to Asia and will be held in Tokyo, Japan, 5th-8th March 2018.

The CGF Sustainable Retail Summit

The Sustainable Retail Summit is an essential 2-day event to be inspired, informed and able to implement socially and environmentally sustainable business solutions and improve the health and wellness of our communities.
 
The conference will allow participants to benefit from hands-on experience. Based on industry's best practices and implementation tools, the interaction will make the link between strategy and operations.
 
Internationally renowned speakers, round table discussions, workshops and networking opportunities will provide applicable learnings from FMCG experts: company CEOs, high level government representatives, international organisations, inspirational health & sustainability leaders and other stakeholders. Everyone who is engaged in advancing sustainable business and healthy communities will attend.
 
The first edition was successfully held in Paris, France, from 27th to 28th October 2016. The 2017 edition will take place in Montreal, 2nd-3rd October.
 

The Future Leaders Congress

The Future Leaders Congress is designed for high potential young leaders who represent the future leaders of the consumer goods industry. It includes strategic, operational and leadership modules for an interactive learning experience in an international setting. It represents an investment both in the individual and in the future of their company, and is designed to support internal management programmes. 
 
Objectives of the Congress include helping companies plan their succession by investing in their future leaders; helping companies reward, motivate and retain the best people; communicating the scope, depth and challenges of today’s global consumer goods business to young managers; helping future leaders to develop their potential to become part of senior management; and enhancing future leaders’ personal contribution to the business in terms of strategy, operations and leadership.
 
The 2016 edition took place in London from 6th-8th October. In 2017 the Future Leaders Programme will be held in Stockholm from 26th-28th October.
