Quorn Foods is pleased to be on track to meet the commitment of reaching 100% of our global workforce with a comprehensive nutrition education, healthier eating, and employee wellbeing programme. Central to this achievement is the introduction of a compulsory e-learning module on the Fundamentals of Healthy Eating, which is mandatory for all employees.

Quorn Foods Commitment at Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit

These efforts align with the growing global momentum around workforce nutrition, reinforced most recently at the 2024 Paris N4G Summit private sector event in March 2025, where stakeholders—including The Consumer Goods Forum—highlighted the critical role of the private sector in promoting healthier, more sustainable diets and addressing malnutrition. Overview of Progress

The e-learning module on the Fundamentals of Healthy Eating ensures that the entire workforce, regardless of location, receives a consistent foundation in nutrition education. Additionally, three optional follow-up modules have been developed that delve deeper into nutrition and health, further empowering those employees who wish to enhance their knowledge. These modules have been developed with the support of external nutrition experts.

The e-learning modules are supported by an ongoing annual calendar of nutrition-focused activities that has continued to drive the company’s workforce nutrition programme forward over the years. Key highlights include:

  1. Hosting an annual Healthy Eating Week, promoting the benefits of high-fibre diets during Fibre February, and running webinars with external nutrition professionals on topics including how foods may be impacting on focus and productivity, and eating well for menopause.
  2. In 2024  Quorn Foods also hosted health kiosks across all UK sites for a one-month period where employees could check their health status, through measuring blood pressure, relevant anthropometrics and responding to questionnaires.
  3. Fruit is now available at all Quorn Foods sites, offering employees easy access to nutritious snacks.

Challenges Faced

One of the primary challenges Quorn Foods has faced in implementing their workforce nutrition programme is ensuring that all employees are reached—whether office-based or factory-based shift workers—with relevant and accessible nutrition education. The workforce is diverse, not only in terms of roles but also in work schedules and location, which has required the company to adapt certain activities to ensure inclusivity and equal access to nutrition initiatives. Factory-based shift workers might not have the same opportunities or access to IT facilities as office staff to attend webinars or access digital content.

Additionally, the introduction of health kiosks across Quorn Food sites in 2024 helped bridge the gap in accessibility. Unlike some of the other initiatives that required IT facilities, the kiosks were available around the clock, enabling all employees on site—regardless of their work hours—to check their health status at a time convenient for them. This flexibility ensured that shift workers, who often have less overlap with office-based activities, were equally empowered to monitor their health.

Impact on Workforce

The compulsory e-learning module was rolled out in late 2024, and the company has already observed encouraging engagement levels with 67% completion rate as of March 2025. By tracking completion rates and quiz scores, the company is able to measure the programme’s reach and its overall effectiveness.

Feedback from employees on the health kiosks installed across all sites in 2024 has been positive. Many employees expressed gratitude for the opportunity to better understand their health status, which has helped foster a culture of health awareness and personal responsibility.

Over a quarter of the workforce (more than 250 employees) registered to attend at least one nutrition focused webinar to date.
