The Global Summit
Frequently Asked Questions
After a successful fully virtual Summit in 2021, we will be happy to welcome again our valued delegates in-person, from all over the world, in Dublin, Ireland, 20th-23rd June.
The 65th Global Summit – and the first physical Summit since Vancouver in 2019 – will take place at the Convention Centre Dublin.
Hundreds of CEOs and C-Suite executives from across the CGF membership will be flying to Dublin and coming together for the first time in two years, so get ready to share and engage with both old and new friends and business partners.
We have made the decision to hold the 2022 Global Summit as a fully in-person event in June in Dublin. We are moving full speed ahead in the development of an extraordinary event to support the industry in these extraordinary times. The Global Summit will take place solely as an in-person event, and will not have a virtual component other than the networking app used by delegates during the Summit.
In the event that new regulations are enacted that prohibit the physical event from taking place, we are confident that we could replicate the success of the 2021 virtual edition. In the advent of such an extreme and isolated scenario, the Global Summit would be virtual.
We are fully committed to ensuring the safety and health of our delegates, sponsors and suppliers present at the Summit in Dublin. We will adhere to recommended cautionary measures, protocols and guidelines from leading health organisations and national authorities, and adjust precautionary measures as necessary to ensure the health and safety of our event attendees and staff.
The spacious Convention Centre Dublin is accredited to the Fáilte Ireland COVID-19 Safety Charter, demonstrating their commitment to providing delegates with a safe space. All recommended sanitary measures – from hand sanitisers to masks and health pass checks – will be implemented throughout the Summit week.
For health requirements to enter Ireland, we encourage you to check the latest updates on the European Union official website on travelling measures on Re-open EU.
Please note that, due to Ireland’s current laws involving indoor events and activities, a Health Pass (EU Digital COVID Certificate) will be required to attend the event. Passes can be digital or in paper format. They include a QR code that will be scanned on entry into the venue. Learn more about the Health Pass requirements in Ireland on the EU Digital COVID Certificate Self Service Portal.
The programme is available here.
We are carefully selecting speakers and topics that will discuss how resilient businesses and leaders – the ones who better surfed the past couple of pandemic years – can reinvent themselves in the pursuit of sustainable, responsible growth.
The programme and speakers line-up will have the same level of quality, engagement and expertise as all our previous editions. Adding to the unmissable Plenary Sessions, delegates will have access to Special Sessions, Breakouts, I-Talks, and much more.
Do not miss the Store Tour on the first day to experience first-hand the Irish retail scene in a full day of visits to the most relevant players.
The Summit 2022 will also see the return of the much-loved I-Zone, offering you direct access to the latest innovations from our industry.
And after two years, we are sure you will be happy to reconnect with your peers from the industry during the many networking opportunities – refreshment breaks, lunches, and official dinners and evenings.
The Global Summit is exclusive to CEOs and senior executives from CGF member companies. If you are unsure about your company’s membership, you can check our members list or contact our membership team.
Hundreds of CEOs and C-suite executives of CGF member companies from all over the world gather together every year at the physical editions of the Global Summit and benefit from the incomparable networking and learning opportunities.
Registrations are now open. We are confident that, after two years, our industry’s CEOs will be happy to meet their peers in a physical Summit, respecting all health and sanitary measures in place at the time.
An emailing with key highlights will be sent to delegates at the end of each day.
An Executive Summary will be distributed electronically after the event to all delegates, with the main takeaways and insights.
Presentations and recordings may be available to 2022 Summit delegates, when authorised by speakers.
Regarding sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, yes! We are very thankful for the companies that support the Global Summit. Confirmed sponsors will be announced soon, but there are still some sponsorship and I-Zone exhibition opportunities available. For more information, contact our sponsorship team.
Special Sessions and I-Talks are sponsored sessions that take place during the official programme. The selection process usually starts around October the year before each Summit. The 2022 selection has already ended, but for future opportunities please contact our sponsorship team.
The Global Summit speaker line-up is carefully selected by the Summit Committee among a wide range of CEOs from FMCG and other relevant industries. There are no sponsored speaking opportunities for Plenary Sessions. If you’d like to suggest a speaker, please write to the Global Summit team.
If you have any further questions concerning the 2022 edition of the Global Summit, please send a message to the Global Summit Team.
