On 3rd October 2022, The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) Senior Manager, Sustainability, Debora Dias, joined an online webinar hosted by Forest Trends to share insights from the CGF Forest Positive Coalition of Action and how its members are taking individual and collective action to remove deforestation, forest degradation, and conversion from their key commodity supply chains. Entitled ‘Corporate Progress on Zero-deforestation and Nature-positive Commitments,’ the webinar assessed trends in the launch of corporate deforestation, climate, and nature goals and how companies are working to meet their objectives.

Debora shared the ambition and progress of the Forest Positive Coalition, including insights from the Coalition’s second Annual Report which included an update on Coalition members’ collective reporting efforts against an aligned set of KPIs. She also shared the Coalition’s priorities for the upcoming year.

The Forest Positive Coalition was formed in 2020 by The Consumer Goods Forum and brings together 21 of the world’s largest retailers and manufacturers, with a combined market value of around US $2 trillion, to take collective action to remove deforestation, forest conversion and degradation from key commodity supply chains.
