In the past four years, the Mon Restaurant Passe Au Durable (“My Restaurant Goes Sustainable”) initiative has continued to inspire chefs across France to adopt healthier and more sustainable recipes into their menus. The initiative has continued to be a collaborative effort from The Consumer Goods Forum’s Healthier Lives Coalition in partnership with METRO France, and food manufacturers – Barilla, Bel, Bonduelle, Danone, Flora Food Group, Labeyrie Fine Foods, Nestlé, and Groupe Savencia.

What began as a pilot in Lyon has now expanded nationwide with 17 recipes designed to meet the growing demand for healthier and environmentally-conscious food choices.

In September 2025, two new recipes were added to the recipe collection and shared with chefs across France with each recipe trialled by a professional chef, in collaboration with METRO France. These recipes support French restauranteurs in offering tasty, balanced meals at an affordable price – all under three euros. According to METRO France, the selected recipes are among the top ten most popular meals served in French professional kitchens.

A 2024 study revealed that only one in five French adults eat the recommended five portions of fruits and vegetables per day. By featuring only vegetarian recipes, the collection directly addresses this gap—showing how multi-stakeholder collaboration can promote healthier diets while keeping costs competitive.

The CGF Healthier Lives Coalition remains committed to driving dietary shifts that make balanced eating accessible, appealing, and affordable across France and globally.
