The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) has published an updated Food Waste Booklet, featuring yet more real life examples of how CGF members are measuring and reducing food loss and waste.
In 2015, the CGF launched its Food Waste Resolution, with members agreeing to halve food waste in their own operations by 2025 and in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The booklet came on the heels of this Resolution, showcasing concrete actions taken by companies to fulfil their commitment and serves as inspiration and guidance to others tackling the issue of food loss and waste.
New contributing members include:
- A. S Watson Group
- Grupo Exito
- Pick n Pay
- Sealed Air
These new case studies have been published alongside those already provided by:
- Ahold Delhaize
- Campbell Soup Company
- Jerónimo Martins
- Kellogg Company
- Marks & Spencer
- METRO Group
- Mondelēz International
Food loss and waste is an enormous environmental, social and economic problem and arguably one of the greatest collective challenges of our time. Given the magnitude of this issue, collaboration is key and the sharing of best practices through the case study booklet is a positive way to do so. This booklet is an ever-expanding document, and we welcome new additions from members at any time.
