Building on the successful 2018 Regional Roundtables on Responsible Recruitment, and subsequent governmental dialogue in Malaysia and Thailand, The Consumer Goods Forum; the Institute for Human Rights and Business and the Responsible Labor Initiative will co-host a cycle of events and governmental dialogue in 2019 to constructively discuss the challenges, implications and opportunities on transitioning to the Employer Pays Principle for recruitment with the objective that No Worker Pays for a Job, and assess progress since 2018 on transitioning to an ethical recruitment model across South East Asia. The first in the Roundtable series will take place in Myanmar on May 15th – 16th.

Each event planned over the coming nine months is designed to build upon one another looking at challenges and opportunities across origin and destination countries in SE Asia, as well as focusing upon forced labour risks closer to many brands home markets, in North America and Europe.

We hope that you can join us for the series of events that we are organising throughout the year. Take a look at the full calendar, which includes other key events organised by partner organisations or members.
