In late August, The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) held its first online event in Colombia in partnership with the Ministry of Environment in Colombia and Waste2worth. During the workshop, over 200 representatives from different stakeholder organisations, including government, academia, CGF member and non-member companies, plastic collectives, among others, took part in the dialogue on extended producer responsibility.

The purpose of the first event was to create a collaborative environment amongst all stakeholders to enable fruitful discussions and to capture perceptions about the progress and challenges that stakeholders encounter when working to implement the resolution on Shared Responsibility on Plastics (Responsabilidad Extendida del Productor – Resolution 1407 of 2018).

In September, the CGF will host two other sessions to promote collaborative work among stakeholders and identify efficient alternatives to implement the regulation across the country.
