The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative (SSCI) is pleased to invite all interested stakeholders to take part in its latest public consultation as it seeks to align benchmarking criteria concerning scheme governance across its sectoral scopes.

The SSCI is opening a new stakeholder consultation as opportunities have been identified to improve Part II of the SSCI Benchmark Requirements (“Requirement for the Management of Schemes” or “Scheme Management Criteria”) which includes elements that focus on the governance of schemes. Taking learnings from the growing number of SSCI Benchmark assessments across the SSCI’s three sectoral scopes, the SSCI Steering Committee is considering a series of changes to harmonise several elements of the requirements and develop a single set of Scheme Management Criteria that may be used across all SSCI sectoral scopes. The SSCI is therefore inviting its stakeholder community to review these proposed amendments prior to making its final decision.

To take part in this consultation and help the SSCI in this decision, download the consultation document here and return it completed to ssci@theconsumergoodsforum.com by the 5th October 2022.

The Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative, a CEO-led Coalition of Action from The Consumer Goods Forum, is committed to building trust by offering clear guidance on which third-party sustainability compliance auditing, certification and monitoring programmes are credible, trustworthy, and meet industry expectations for sustainability.
