The 2021 edition of the Global Summit – the first-ever virtual edition of CGF’s flagship event – took place from 21st to 24th June. Broadcast live from a rooftop studio in Paris – with views of the Eiffel Tower -, the event gathered together 700 delegates from 42 countries, who joined 130 speakers in live and pre-recorded sessions, panels, fireside chats and much more. 

The 2021 event marked the first time the CEO-led delegation had convened since the 2019 edition in Vancouver. The theme of the Summit, Now What?, expressed the trepidation and anticipation that many feel as they move into this new normal. Throughout the four-day event, many CEOs and other leaders shared pandemic adaptations — new technologies, methods of doing business and channels of communication — that will continue to be useful as the world comes through the pandemic and learns to live with COVID-19. One thread became clear as the event continued: the consumer goods industry will not revert to the way it was before the pandemic, nor should it.
