New Appointees to Enhance CGF’s Drive for Innovative and Inclusivity


Paris, Thursday, 30 November 2023: The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) is proud to announce the appointment of new members to its Board of Directors, including Cécile Beliot of Bel Group and Nathalie Roos of Lipton Teas and Infusions. Joining them are Shaohua Pu from Bailian Group and Wenzhong Zhang from Wumart, bringing the total of new member companies on the Board to four.

Five newly appointed members from existing companies have also been announced: Brendan Foley of McCormick; Alvin Liu of Taobao & Tmall Group; Scott Price of DFI Retail Group; Hein Schumacher of Unilever; and Sean Summers of Pick n Pay.

These appointments bring a wealth of varied experience that is essential for The CGF as it steers the consumer goods industry towards a vibrant future.

The CGF’s five Acceleration Areas, a flagship initiative by the co-chairs and announced at The CGF Global Summit in June 2023, remain a key focus of the Board.

Fellow Co-Chair Dirk van de Put, Chairman and CEO, Mondelēz International, USA, emphasised the Board’s commitment to sustainability and social impact:

“With the support of our new Board members, we are more equipped than ever to propel our Acceleration Areas forward, driving the adoption of sustainable practices and fostering social responsibility across our industry.”

The new directors are poised to make a significant contribution to this industry-wide transformative agenda, which includes fostering Deforestation and Conversion Free Supply Chains and advocating for a circular economy through the adoption of Golden Design Rules, among others.
