How to Get There
Practical Information
Access & Transportation
You can fly to Tokyo, though there are no direct trains between Haneda Airport and Kyoto it is very easy to make a transfer in Tokyo. From Haneda Airport you can take the Keikyu Airport Line’s Rapid Limited Express train to Shinagawa Station, and then transfer to a shinkansen bullet train for Kyoto.
The second option is flying to Osaka; you can then catch the JR Haruka Limited Express train directly from the airport. The JR Haruka Limited Express takes around 70 minutes to get from Kansai Airport to Kyoto, and there are departures every 30 minutes. It is the quickest way.
It is recommended to have some cash with you for taxis as not all of them accept credit cards.
