Promotion of Existing good Data Accuracy Practices

At The Consumer Goods Forum, we want to help members by promoting the more basic data quality good practices. In June 2018 we launched a video aimed at helping companies appreciate the importance of data accuracy and some of the good practices.

Other examples of good practices include:

– Demonstrate strong CEO leadership on the importance of data accuracy and completeness: e.g. a product on a digital shelf is only as good as its data
– Strengthen data governance (e.g. single Chief Data Officer reporting to the CEO) to cut across organisational silos
– Support the “Verified by GS1” project – reinforcing GS1’s role to ensure that every product has a unique identifier
– To support the above, we are producing a short video to share with our members, describing a fictitious CEO’s role in strengthening the company’s data accuracy.

Please reach out to the End-to-End Value Chain to team if you are interested in sharing your company’s good practices and we will provide you with a template.
